Remember that little girl on the school bus? That would be Kamala Harris, last seen pistol whipping Joe Biden in a primary debate. Then she played the race card because he opposed forced busing 40 years ago. But apparently all is forgiven. And now she wants to be remembered as Joe’s running mate.

Corona Flat Curve Flattens Elective Treatments

The Corona flat curve flattened elective treatments. Suburban tent hospitals in New York sit unused. And the Navy hospital ship Comfort is shoving off.

Meanwhile hospitals put patients seeking elective treatment on hold. But elective surgery is where hospitals make their money. So healthcare workers have been laid off.

And elective surgery isn’t just nose jobs:

An elective surgery does not always mean it is optional. It simply means that the surgery can be scheduled in advance. It may be a surgery you choose to have for a better quality of life, but not for a life-threatening condition. But in some cases it may be for a serious condition such as cancer.

Mayor de Blasio encouraged citizens to snitch on their neighbors:

“We still know there’s some people who need to get the message. And that means sometimes making sure the enforcement is there to educate people and make clear we’ve got to have social distancing,”

So, New Yorkers responded by overloading His Honor’s snitch line with middle fingers.

It’s spring and the Covid protests are in bloom.

So what’s it all about?

Well, it’s not about Covide-19, if that’s what you mean:

Many have compared the protests to the early days of the Tea Party movement. That comparison tracks: The anti-quarantine demonstrations are another reaction to what supporters see as inappropriate government imposition, especially in the economy, bolstered by organizations like conservative advocacy group FreedomWorks, which also aligned itself with the Tea Party. But, like the Tea Party, economic concerns are where the ideology starts, not where it ends…

Covid Protests

It’s really about a lack of humility in leaders like Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer:

There really are two Americas here: Those still getting a paycheck from government, corporations or universities, and those who are unemployed, or seeing their small businesses suffer due to shutdowns. And the America still getting paid is, so far, not showing a whole lot of sympathy for the America that isn’t.
