Bill Clinton on Keeping Your Healthcare. Period.
Bill Clinton knows the meaning of “period“.
He took this opportunity to drive the Hillary Machine off the tracks of the ObamaCare train wreck when he said the president should honor his commitments to people who lost their health care.
Easier said than done, considering nearly 5 million insurance contracts have been vaporized.
Clinton on Keeping your Health Care
Anyway here’s the Clinton quotation on CNN:
“So I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got,” Clinton said during an interview with the website OZY.com.
Wonder if he’ll insist the president come clean with the people on the meaning of “what difference does it make“?
Update:
Looks like the king is trying to put it back together again. He wants to use prosecutorial discretion to let people keep their old plans. Howard Dean thinks that’s illegal.
It’s the Economy Stupid
I find it astonishing that he goes around making speeches in which he deplores the state of the economy, the growing income inequality, chronic unemployment, staggering middle class income, and it’s as if he has been a bystander, as if he’s been out of the country for the last five years. It’s his economy; he’s the president.
Incomplete
The president gave himself an incomplete grade for his first term. Bill Clinton excused him, saying that no one, not even The Big Dog himself, could have fixed the economy. Obama never actually uttered the words “economic malaise”, but then again, neither did Jimmy Carter.

Real Scandal
Politico had over 90 stories last week about the Herman Cain sexual harassment allegations. It’s still unclear just what is being alleged but it doesn’t appear to include pulling down his pants and ordering a subordinate to “kiss it”. That would be the charge against President Bill Clinton from about the same era.
Oddly, women’s groups swarmed to the defense of the “lovable rogue” and, after being impeached, he weathered the storm – minus his Arkansas law license.
None of us, however (at least not the 99%), weathered the storm caused by another scandal with racial overtones. Paul Sperry reported in IBD, how Clinton pressured financial institutions to make home loans to the un-creditworthy. Meanwhile, MSN Money quotes David Weidner, of Marketwatch, saying Clinton’s biggest mistake was the repeal of Glass-Steagall.
Business Week reported this week that, after stating a $4.4 billion loss for the third quarter, Freddie Mac will seek an additional 6 billion dollar bail-out from taxpayers.
