Coming to Terms
The Populist in Chief once again struck just the right note by telling Diane Sawyer that he would rather do a good job and only serve one term than have the dim-witted electorate reward him with a second term for doing a mediocre job. Here’s a Wash Post story with video.
All the States Above Average
Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Meet the Press Sunday that the federal government owes the Golden State. He claims that his state only gets back $0.78 on the dollar from the feds while Alaska gets $1.86. (I accidentally cheated the mushers out of $0.56 in the cartoon.) Go here to see this part of the interview (if you don’t want to hear the whole thing you can fast forward to the 4:50 mark). In a later section of the interview he smacks the California congressional delegation for supporting the health care bill which he says will be an economic blow to their state .

Biden: “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” (visit CNN for video)
Reid: …a “light-skinned” African American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,” (click here for Atlantic story)
I guess if Obama doesn’t think it’s a big deal that Biden and Reid speak in this strange dialect I don’t either.
