Busted
Edmund Andrews went bankrupt. He did it like most people by buying a house he couldn’t afford. The thing is he’s not like most people. He covers the Fed for the New York Times. And unlike most people, his solution to his problem was to write a tell-all book about his problem (here’s the short version in the Times Magazine). But it turns out he didn’t quite tell all. His wife went bankrupt twice before. Yvette Kantrow cuts him no slack in this Huffington Post piece.
Thanks for the Memos
Now that Obama has released the “torture” memos, and Joe Biden has released Cheney’s undisclosed location, the former V.P. is in a releasing mood himself. Obama said there would be no prosecutions. That was before he said there might be, but only for lawyers – and who among us is against prosecuting lawyers? Cheney says Obama left out the memos that show “harsh interrogation” kept the country safe from more 9/11 style attacks. Meanwhile Nancy Pelosi says memos lie.
There She Goes …
Here’s a You Tube video of Miss California being asked a question about gay marriage by high profile gay guy, Perez Hilton. It’s possible Miss Prejean’s answer cost her the crown. The next day Judge Hilton called her a “dumb bitch”. The Guardian has a good story about the affair. The president is also opposed to gay marriage. Wonder if Hilton thinks he’s a dumb bitch too?
