Biden’s Brain locked in the Basement

I’m starting to feel creepy about picking on Joe Biden’s brain. But he keeps it in the basement while he runs for president, and I’m a cartoonist.

Here’s video of his brain’s latest run-in with his mouth.

Cognitively Certified and Proud of it

President Trump is cognitively certified and bragging about it. Not only did he test negative for Covid-19, his brain tested positive on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, or MoA.

As achievements go the test is a low bar. Passing it simply means you don’t have dementia. For now. But Trump seems to think Joe Biden couldn’t pole vault over the the bar and he’s trying to provoke him out of his basement to take the test.

Joe’s Cognitive abilities may serve him well. He said he didn’t know anything about the Michael Flynn investigation. But former FBI agent Peter Stzrok’s notes from a Jan 2017 meeting say Biden recommended prosecuting Flynn under the Logan Act.

Obama deputy AG Sally Yates says she doesn’t remember if Biden brought up the Logan act but she testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee that he didn’t influence the Flynn Investigation.

As far as I know she hasn’t been tested either.

Peaceful Demonstrations Trashing Cities

Peaceful protests? President Clinton might say, “it depends on the meaning of “peaceful.”

A BBC headline in June reported, “27 police officers injured during largely peaceful anti-racism protests in London.”

And ABC News continued the trend last weekend reporting that “peaceful demonstrations intensified” in Oakland. Rioters set a courthouse on fire and assaulted police officers.

President Obama once said that shovel ready jobs “weren’t as shovel ready as we expected.”

shovel ready, Biden, Obama

Peaceful protests don’t seem to be as peaceful as we expected.

Counterpoint in Portland

This is my Counterpoint cartoon from last week. It appeared alongside a Rob Rogers cartoon and here’s what I had to say about it:

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler joined the mob Wednesday night and got booed and teargassed for his efforts. And I got a cartoon idea. But my sketch contained a couple of mental maneuvers making it tough on the poor reader. Not only that, my lefty Counterpoint counterpart Rob Rogers didn’t care for the whole point of the thing. He thought Mayor Wheeler had done a splendid job over the past 50 days during which the mob trashed his town’s working class shopkeepers. And, “oh, by the way,” Rob added, “why don’t you tweak that cartoon and just have the woman say, “Where’s the mayor when you need him”? Perfect. Thanks, Rob, you ignorant slut.

Dr. Fauci’s First Pitch, and His Second Pitch

Dr. Fauci pitched like an Imperial College Covid-19 model. Not very accurately.

As you can see, I drew this before Dr. Fauci actually threw his MLB season opening first pitch last night. His high school basketball skills didn’t translate to baseball. But then neither did President Obama’s, or Michael Jordan’s for that matter.

In fairness, it must be nerve racking standing in the middle of a major league stadium with all those cardboard cutouts staring you down.

Here’s the 60 foot gold standard of first pitches at game 3 of the 2001 World Series in Yankee Stadium. It turned out to be the last time the country was united.
