The stock market hit record highs. Trump’s bragging. And Democrats are impeaching.
Just like Republicans when the market jumped on Clinton’s watch.
Pelosi Impeachment Procession
House Speaker Pelosi dispatched a procession to the Senate to deliver a 1,426 word leather-bound document containing articles of impeachment. The Speaker and her acolytes hope to frogmarch President Trump out of the White House.
But, as The Washington Post reports:
For all the pageantry, both Johnson and Clinton’s impeachments ended in acquittal. Trump’s probably will too…
Red Scare II
A new red scare haunts the halls of Congress. If President Trump isn’t an outright Russian agent – paying hookers to pee on Obama’s bed (turned out that was just a media leak) – he’s using Russia to extort favors from Ukraine. At least that’s how many Dems see it.

But back in 2012 the shoe was on the other foot. President Obama mocked Mitt as a Russian conspiracy crank, and went on to win the election.

Due Process Parody
We’re told the House Intelligence Committee impeachment hearing isn’t a legal proceeding. But it’s a political one and the rules of due process don’t seem to apply.

With that in mind, here are a few of Chairman Schiff’s rules for the hearing:
No Trump lawyers or White House counsel are permitted.
Trump may not confront his accuser (the whistleblower). And the whistle blower won’t testify. That’s because Schiff says his testimony would be redundant and unnecessary .
Unlike Trump, apparently Hunter Biden is above the law and any investigation of him would be considered a sham. So Hunter won’t be testifying either.
And, finally, outing the whistleblower is strictly forbidden and will be be considered an ethics violation.
