Don’t Concede Presidential Elections
Concede is a dirty word to President Trump, and he won’t promise to concede the election if he loses. At least that’s what he told a Playboy reporter who asked if he’d “commit to a peaceful transition of power.”
Joe Biden says the military might have to frogmarch him from the Oval Office.
But the WSJ points out that if the election isn’t certified by Jan. 20 Nancy Pelosi will be in the Oval Office.
Besides, Trump is only following Hillary’s advice to Biden: “don’t concede under any circumstances.
Election Hopes and Conspiracy Theories
President Trump’s election hopes probably weren’t helped Saturday night. He spoke to a lot of empty seats at the BOK (Bank of Oklahoma) center in Tulsa.
Joe Biden’s having better luck in his basement. A New York Times / Sienna College Poll put’s him ahead of Trump by 14 points.
Peter Nicholas fantasizes in the Atlantic about life if Trump goes all “resistance” and refuses to accept the election results..
And Politico takes a deep dive into Trumpian conspiracy theories. The Steele Dossier pee tape didn’t make the cut.
Campaign Spending Laws Apply Equally

After busting Trump fixer Michael Cohen for violating campaign spending laws, U.S. attorney Robert Khuzami bragged “we are a nation of laws, with one set of rules that applies equally to everyone.”
Kimberly Strassel at the WSJ doesn’t buy it:
If there is only “one set of rules,” where is Mr. Mueller’s referral of a case against Hillary for America? Federal law requires campaigns to disclose the recipient and purpose of any payments. The Clinton campaign paid Fusion GPS to compile a dossier against Mr. Trump, a document that became the basis of the Russia narrative Mr. Mueller now investigates. But the campaign funneled the money to law firm Perkins Coie, which in turn paid Fusion. The campaign falsely described the money as payment for “legal services.” The Democratic National Committee did the same. A Perkins Coie spokesperson has claimed that neither the Clinton campaign nor the DNC was aware that Fusion GPS had been hired to conduct the research, and maybe so. But a lot of lawyers here seemed to have been ignoring a clear statute, presumably with the intent of influencing an election.
Strzok Strikes Out
Peter Strzok was the lead FBI investigator of both the Hillary Clinton email caper and Russian 2016 election meddling. His own text messages showed his bias in favor of Clinton and against Trump. He claimed he could smell Trump supporters at Walmart. But he insisted he was too professional to allow his opinions to affect his work.
Strzok Strikes Out
Deputy Director David Bowdich wasn’t buying it . He fired Strzok on Monday. So Strzok responded with a link to a GoFundMe account. By Tuesday it was worth $325,000.

No FBI Bias Here
Inspector General Michael Horowitz looked into the FBI investigation of Hilary Clinton’s email server. He released his report on Friday and testified before the House Judiciary Committee yesterday.
Some of his more interesting findings included text messages from lead FBI agent Peter Strzok. He referred to Hillary as the “future prez.” Strzok also said he would “stop Trump.” Still, the IG found no FBI bias in the investigation results.
