Summer of Love protesters dragged Adam Haner from his truck in Portland Sunday night and beat him senseless. Then, while he lay defenseless in the street, a social justice warrior delivered the kick de grâce to his head. Meanwhile, the police kept an extremely safe social distance from the “protest.” Now they’re searching for the suspected kicker. aptly named Marquise Love.

Inauguration day January 20, 2021 was my theme for this week’s Counterpoint cartoon. And here’s what I had to say about that…
One of the benefits of the cartoon collusion we practice here at Counterpoint is the opportunity to learn new things. For instance I learned today from Nick Anderson what WAP means. This is good to know because the Virtual Democratic National Convention began last night with Woke Joe bunkered in his basement as usual. Except for one thing. He kicked things off with an interview. Was it Jake Tapper? No. Was it Chris Wallace? No. Was it Cardi B? Hell Yes!

And Cardi B is no GloZell Green Fruit Loop interviewer. She actually asked him a non-softball question, “People want to know, can you provide college education, this [health care] plan, without a big chunk of taxes coming out of our checks?” Sure, Biden explained, “Practical things, like making sure that everybody has to pay their fair share.” Whatever.

Snatching Power of the Purse with Executive Orders
Six years ago President Obama went around Congress and snatched its power of the purse. He announced “We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation, I have a pen and a phone… and I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions.”
So I drew this Obama cartoon:

And now President Trump is messing with the same purse. He used an executive order to go around Congress and cut off stimulus talks.
So, a foolish consistency being the hobgoblin of a small mind, I drew the Trump cartoon above.
