Stand with Rand
Rand Paul’s filibuster over all the president’s drones was a huge hash tag hit on Twitter. While Senator Paul talked himself blue in the face (with the help of Ted Cruz, MikeLee, Marco Rubio and others), old guard red state Republicans dined with the president. They were not happy with the kids’ behavior while they were out.
Eric Holder’s Wars
Eric Holder’s Justice Department sued Standard and Poor’s for giving bad advice. That bad advice consisted of high ratings the company gave for mortgage backed securities leading to the 2008 meltdown.
Jack Lew, the president’s nominee for Treasury Secretary, worked for Citigroup’s subprime department during the time leading up to the 2008 meltdown. Lew was rewarded with a nearly million dollar bonus following Citigroup’s government bail-out.
In an effort to divert attention from Lew (okay I made that up), the White House released Justice Department documents justifying the killing U.S. citizens without judicial review. I didn’t make that up.
G-Men Gone Wild
The FBI agent who sent Tampa socialite Jill Kelley a shirtless photo is Fredrick Humphries. He is one of Kelley’s many manly friends. Kelley made a call to Humphries which set off the FBI investigation that revealed David Petraeus’ secret love affair with Paula Broadwell, as well as making General John Allen squirm.
Humphries’ lawyer says the bare chested picture his client emailed Kelley years ago has nothing to do with the investigation. He wasn’t hitting on her. It was sent as part of a joke. Here’s the picture with a story in the Seattle Times.
Crap! I already drew the cartoon. Lucky for me, my friend, American Spectator columnist Andrew Wilson, says to go with it – “it captures the reality of unseeing, uncaring and stupendously stupid behavior in response to brewing evil”. Ok.
I wonder if Putin knows her.
J Edgar Hoover must be rolling over in his evening gown.

The justice department is 0-2 vs the Rocket and the Creep.
Meanwhile Attorney General Holder could be held in contempt for trying to stall a congressional investigation into the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal.
Update: President Obama has asserted executive privilege in the Fast and Furious case.
Hit Man Holder
AG Eric Holder announced, that under certain conditions, it would be quite all right to kill American citizens overseas.
Conor Friedersdorf at The Atlantic picked up on this, but why do I think if Bush had said it the legacy media would have given it considerably more attention? True, the WSJ likes the policy. But where’s the outrage we heard concerning mere electronic spying on mere non-American citizens who happened to call or email Americans?
