Acme Impeachment Anvil Falls on Wily Democrats
Things haven’t worked out well for the Wily Democrats. It’s dawning on them that Joe Biden has never won a primary in his 77 years.
Then there was there was the caucus chaos in Iowa.
Elizabeth Warren’s plans to appeal to the far left seem to be losing their favor. But that’s only because Bernie Sanders, a 78 year old socialist, who’s not really a Democrat, is leading the party even further left.
The 38 year old small city Mayor Pete nips at his heels. And 78 year old humongous city Republican Mayor Mike, with billions to burn, is coming on strong. And he says he’s willing to spend whatever it takes.

Maybe Amy Klobuchar will prevail in sensible shoes.
But whatever happens, they’ll always have impeachment.

Caucus Clown Car at Senate Impeachment Trial
Senate impeachment trial hostages Sanders, Warren and Klobuchar face a dilemma. Closing arguments are tomorrow, but so are the Iowa Caucuses. And the final vote on whether to toss Trump is Wednesday.
More Caucus Chaos
And the Des Moines Register further complicated things by canceling the release of its “gold standard” poll Saturday night. Somebody left Pete Buttigieg out as a possible preferred candidate.
Meanwhile, back in Washington, the president delivers his State of the Union speech on Tuesday.
And, since the Senate voted 51-49 to block more impeachment trial witness testimony on Friday, Republicans now say they have the votes to acquit on Wednesday.
Bernie Sanders Gets Treatment From CNN
Some people on both sides of the aisle think Bernie Sanders got set up by The Most Trusted Name in News at the CNN debate last week.
Here’s correspondent Abby Phillip asking the “when did you stop beating your wife” question:
“Sen. Sanders, CNN reported yesterday, and Sen. Warren confirmed in a statement, that in 2018 you told her that you did not believe that a woman could win the election. Why did you say that?”
And Here’s Bernie’s response:
“I don’t want to waste a whole lot of time on this, because this is what Donald Trump and maybe some of the media want,” Sanders added. “Anybody knows me knows that it’s incomprehensible that I would think that a woman cannot be president of the United States.
And here’s Abby Phillip’s next question to Senator Warren:
“Sen. Warren, what did you think when Sen. Sanders told you a woman could not win the election?”

Maybe Elizabeth Warren is a little too refreshing. Her plan to take away your current coverage might have been a bridge too far. Rich Lowry says even some Democrat primary voters don’t want to give up private insurance.”
