Urban Meyer Trick Play
Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith stands accused of roughing up his former wife. So Urban Meyer fired him. But that might not be enough. The school suspended Coach Meyer while it investigates whether he took action in a timely fashion.
Urban Meyer Trick Play
If he didn’t it could cost him his job and $38 million. It wouldn’t be the first time. His predecessor Jim Tressel was fired because some of his players traded trinkets for for tattoos. In a less enlightened time the Dutch got Manhattan for the same stunt.
Trillion Dollar Apple
On Thursday Apple became the first company ever to be valued over a trillion dollars.
Trillion Dollar Apple
That’s a number equal to one fourth of annual federal spending. Or one twentieth of the federal debt.
Cardinal McCarrick

Pope Francis accepted the resignation of 88 year old Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. The former Bishop of Washington DC is under investigation for sexual abuse of a minor 47 years ago.
Are 3D Guns Free Speech?
Printers aren’t just for fed funds anymore. Now you can print a gun from a 3D printer. Really. Needless to say this has the anti-gun lobby up in arms.
Of course you can’t print anything until you download the software. Obviously this is Trump’s fault. What’s next? Russian hackers emailing weapons to enemies of Hillary?
Not if Federal Judge Robert Lasnik can help it. He issued a restraining order to stop the release of electronic gun making instructions by a group called Defense Distributed.
Are 3D Guns Free Speech?
David French in National Review points out “The plaintiffs weren’t distributing guns, they were distributing information…and blocking the flow of information is a prior restraint of free speech.”
Venal Traitor Trump
Rand Paul doesn’t like former CIA Director John Brennan. And John Brennan doesn’t like a lot people. Especially Donald Trump.
Here’s Brennan letting us know how he feels about the Venal Traitor Trump in his own tweets:
The “dustbin of history” crack is kind of interesting because Brennan wasn’t always opposed to Russian meddling. In fact, in a youthful indiscretion at the height of the cold war in 1974, he voted for the Soviet funded American Communist Gus Hall for president.
Rand Paul thinks it’s time to yank Brennan’s national security clearance. I didn’t even know he had one. But it turns out it’s a common professional courtesy given to ex spooks.
Here’s George W. Bush’s former assistant national security advisor Elliot Abrams explaining why he kept his clearance:
Why? Because the incoming Obama White House thought that in the early months of a new administration, we might have some useful insights to impart—information about how past events had developed, or impressions of top people in foreign governments—and our successors wanted to be able to discuss classified information with us and elicit our views.
It doesn’t seem likely Brennan will be doing much consulting with the Venal Traitor Trump.
