Isis Oil Crisis
President Obama is so green it’s tough to get him to take his own side in a fight.
Former CIA Director Michael Morell told Charlie Rose the reason President Obama refused to bomb ISIS oil facilities was to save the environment.
Really.
Obama was also reluctant to bomb ISIS oil trucks because he didn’t want to harm the drivers. When the trucks finally were bombed, we gave 45 minutes advance warning by dropping leaflets telling the drivers to run away.
Dick Morris thinks this is “loony”. ISIS pays its jihadis with the $2 million a day it makes in oil sales. Here’s what Morris had to say about the environmental cost of putting a stop to that:
This kind of environmental fantasizing was in vogue during the Gulf War, when Saddam Hussein’s destruction of all of Kuwait’s oil fields was thought to be likely to cause huge damage. Paul Crutzen, a noted atmospheric scientist, predicted that a “nuclear winter” might ensue with a cloud of smoke covering half the Northern Hemisphere for at least 100 days. Carl Sagan argued that the effects of the destruction of Kuwaiti oil fields could be comparable to the explosion of the volcano Tambora in 1815, which produced “a year without summer.”
It never happened.
Widows and Orphans
In the wake of the ISIS attacks on Paris, the leader of the free world retaliated vigorously against his enemy – Republicans. He struck hard against anyone who questioned whether terrorists might surf a wave of Syrian refugees into America.
His weapon of choice was sarcasm:
“Apparently they are scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America,” Obama said of the GOP. “At first, they were too scared of the press being too tough on them in the debates. Now they are scared of three year old orphans. That doesn’t seem so tough to me.”

Hours later, as French security forces closed in on a terrorist hideout, a woman outfitted in a suicide belt blew herself up.
The head and spine of Europe’s first female suicide bomber flew through a window and landed on the street outside when she blew herself up during the siege of Saint-Denis.
Greatest Threat to Bernie
The president thinks global warming is the greatest threat to national security. He’ll stride past the rubble in Paris next week to make that case.
Bernie Sanders agrees. He thinks the Middle East will heat up so much, literally, that it will force refugees into Europe.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Hillary Fixes Wall Street
Hillary didn’t appreciate Bernie Sanders’ comments about her millions and millions in contributions from Wall Street. Bernie thinks big shot investment bankers expect a return on their investment in Hillary.
Hillary took offense. She said Bernie had questioned her integrity. Who doesn’t?
Hillary immediately threw down the gender card, claiming most of her contributions come from women. Then she played the 9/11 card. She reminded us that she was a Senator from New York. And that New York had suffered an attack by Islamic, well, terrorists on 9/11. And that the attack happened near Wall Street. All that money was for Wall Street repairs.
What Obama’s Not Interested in Doing
French President Hollande pronounced France at war and promised to destroy ISIS/ISIL.
At a press conference today President Obama could barely be bothered to answer questions about his ISIS strategy. He seemed sedated. There was plenty of his customary “what we’re not going to do” line of lecturing. As in, “What I’m not interested in doing is posing or pursuing some notion of ‘American leadership’ or ‘America winning,”’
He spoke in a sort of monotone and mentioned how busy he is. Here’s a You Tube of the speech.
