Georgia’s on Everybody’s Mind This Week
Georgia’s on everybody’s mind this week. Biden beat Trump by a nose and they’re doing a recount by hand. There’s also the runoff for two U.S. Senate Seats, with Mitch McConnell’s leadership hanging in the balance.
Meanwhile, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s General Sherman act wasn’t helpful. But it still looks like a lost cause for Donald Trump.
Oh, and the Masters is being played in November. Must be 2020.
NBA Title mostly watched by Cardboard Cutouts
Lebron won his fourth NBA title but nobody saw it. Well, not exactly nobody – in addition to the cardboard cutouts, 8.29 million breathing people watched on ABC. But that was 57.6% drop in viewership since LeBron’s last NBA Finals performance with the Cavs in 2018 .
Commissioner Adan Silver seemed to think that another area where LeBron execells, social justice messaging, had something to do with it. So next season the players will be asked to message on their own time.
Big Ten Football is the new October Surprise
Think peace in the Mid East is the October surprise? No way. The October return of the the Big Ten to football in the Midwest is. As you might expect, President Trump is taking credit. And it so happens the Big Ten plays in battleground states he needs to win.
