Lie of the Year Award
PolitiFact honored the president with its Lie of the Year award for saying “if you like your healthcare plan you can keep it”.
When Senator Ron Wyden asked National Intelligence Director James Clapper if NSA collected data on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans, Clapper answered, “No.”… “not wittingly”.
Now that we know NSA tracks everyone’s calls, including Angela Merkel’s, Andrea Mitchell asked Clapper why he lied. Clapper complained that Wyden had asked about secret operations in a public forum and that he answered him in the “least untruthful manner”.
Unemployment Benefits
President Obama wants to increase unemployment benefits. Not just to help the unemployed, but to grow the economy.
Unemployment insurance is one of the most effective ways there is to boost our economy.

The science tells him that every dollar spent on unemployment creates $1.80 in growth. The WSJ calls this:
…the theory that you can increase employment by paying more people not to work…If that theory worked, the government should pay everyone not to work.
This is the same theory that told him in his first term that a trillion dollar stimulus would be the most effective tool there is to boost our economy.

I wasn’t that upset by the Great Mandela Memorial Selfie. In fact it was a relief to see the president finally getting along well with others.

Blame Government
President Obama told Chris Matthews not to blame him for the stumble start of ObamaCare. Blame the government. More specifically, blame outdated big agencies.
But don’t blame outdated big agencies for the web site. It’s up to “private sector velocity“.
