All the States Above Average
Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Meet the Press Sunday that the federal government owes the Golden State. He claims that his state only gets back $0.78 on the dollar from the feds while Alaska gets $1.86. (I accidentally cheated the mushers out of $0.56 in the cartoon.) In a later section of the interview he smacks the California congressional delegation for supporting the health care bill which he says will be an economic blow to their state .
Gitmo Propaganda
It turns out that prisoners released from Gitmo to Yemen are participating in Overseas Contingency Operations against the United States. Not only that, they’re committing Man Caused Disasters! The Commander in Chief has responded. He’s still closing Gitmo but he’ll be sending the prisoners somewhere that is not Yemen. Dr. Krauthammer analyses this here.

The prez – after delaying his Hawaii trip for the Senate’s Christmas Eve health care bill – crawled out of his golf cart today to pronounce that a “systemic failure has occurred”.
