Jonathan Martin of Politico revealed a vast left wing conspiracy against El Rushbo. Okay not so vast, but James Carville, Paul Begala, and pollster Stanley Greenberg determined that Rush is less popular with young voters than Jeremiah Wright, at least among those who know who Jeremiah Wright is. Carville’s response, “It’s great for us, great for him, great for the press”, “The only people he’s not good for are the actual Republicans in Congress.” For more on the Rush diversion go to the Daily Beast.

The Obama Budget is in and so are the reviews. Robert Reich is pleased. He calls it progressive. The WSJ calls it revolutionary and draws attention to “an inconvenient tax”. Climate revenue flowing from the cap-and-trade system of carbon credits is really a big fat new tax. Krugman thinks it looks Mahvelous. And Krauthammer thinks it’s a plan for a European Union type nanny state.
Hair of the Dog
This one was inspired by a Daniel Henninger column in last Thursday’s WSJ. He points out that the government is pouring money into a headwind of virtue. Americans are finally saving just as the plan requires them to spend.
