National Icon Killing Wind Farms
It’s open season on national icons like the bald eagle – if you’re a wind farm.
National Icon Killing Wind Farms
According to David Yarnold, president of the National Audubon Society, the Obama administration has issued a “blank check” to kill eagles and other flying species that get in the way of wind turbines. You can read the NYT story here.
Unemployment Benefits
President Obama wants to increase unemployment benefits. Not just to help the unemployed, but to grow the economy.
Unemployment insurance is one of the most effective ways there is to boost our economy.
Unemployment Benefit
The science tells him that every dollar spent on unemployment creates $1.80 in growth. The WSJ calls this:
…the theory that you can increase employment by paying more people not to work…If that theory worked, the government should pay everyone not to work.
This is the same theory that told him in his first term that a trillion dollar stimulus would be the most effective tool there is to boost our economy.

“Who in God’s name wants that?” asked Chuck Schumer. So the senate renewed the Undetectable Firearms Act.
Blame Government
President Obama told Chris Matthews not to blame him for the stumble start of ObamaCare. Blame the government. More specifically, blame outdated big agencies.
But don’t blame outdated big agencies for the web site. It’s up to “private sector velocity“.
Blame Government
The Gipper could have told The Messiah that government isn’t the solution to our problem, it is the problem.
George Will is amused.
