The President’s Lawn
The president thinks the National Mall is his lawn. He used park service storm troopers to try to keep veterans and everyone else – except illegal immigrants – away from the mall and memorials. Maybe the illegal immigrants were represented by illegal immigrant lawyers.
Lawn Job
Over the weekend veteran groups uprooted park service barricades and dumped them on the White House lawn.
ObamaCare 404
Republican efforts to stave off ObamaCare may have been unnecessary. The government’s own website seems to be doing a pretty good job of that. People can’t get on the poorly designed site and if they do they can’t get out.
The administration refuses to say how many have signed up.
So, as it stands now you can be fined for failing to buy a product the government can’t provide.
No Obama / Rouhani Hand Shake
I missed posting this one while on the USO trip. It’s from the big UN confab in New York last month.
Iran has a new president with a nice smile. President Obama put out the word he’d be happy to shake hands with President Rouhani but Rouhani snubbed him. It kind of reminded me of Ted Kennedy’s snub of President Carter at the 1980 Dem convention.
Rouhani Takes Call From Great Satan
The Iranian leader later accepted a phone call from President Obama. Wonder how that went… “Mr. President, please hold for President Obama?” ..or “The President is with a client state right now, please hold.
Apple iOS 7 is Just Like ObamaCare
The president compared ObamaCare’s rocky rollout favorably to Apple’s launch of iOS 7.0.2. Really. Well, they both do take fingerprints, operate in a cloud, and spy on us.
“Consider that just a couple of weeks ago, Apple rolled out a new mobile operating system, and within days, they found a glitch, so they fixed it.”
A bug that allowed unauthorized users to get past the new iPhone’s fingerprint protected lock screen was fixed. President Obama promises the federal government, proven so nimble in the past, will do likewise.
Apple and ObamaCare the Same
Kathleen Sebelius got into the act saying, “…hopefully you’ll give us the same slack you give Apple”.
Government Collapse
The majority of Americans don’t like ObamaCare but they don’t want it to collapse. They don’t want to risk a government shutdown either. Republicans hate it but are divided over risking a shutdown.
Charles Krauthammer, and Brit Hume are among conservatives who thinks it’s unlikely President Obama will sign a bill abolishing ObamaCare. They have a point.
Here’s a column by Daniel Henninger betting that Obamacare will be the straw that breaks the donkey’s back, causing the progressive agenda to collapse. Hmm.
Donkey Business
And here’s a donkey up in the air. The straw donkey was probably a better analogy but I thought this one was pretty funny.
