No Clinton Foundation Access for Benghazi Dead

clinton foundation

An AP story says 85 of 154 meetings Hillary Clinton had regarding private interests, when she was Secretary of State, were with Clinton Foundation donors.

Clinton Foundation Access Fit For A Prince

Some of those donors represented foreign interests too. Politico reported that the crown prince of Bahrain used his Clinton Foundation connection to get a meeting with  Secretary Clinton. That was after he struck out going through “normal channels. So Clinton Foundation executive Doug Band emailed Huma Abedin with the request:

“Cp of Bahrain in tomorrow to Friday[.] Asking to see her[.] Good friend of ours,” Band wrote Abedin on her State Department email address on June 23, 2009.

Abedin responded the same day, a Tuesday, that the crown prince had asked to see Clinton through “normal channels” on Thursday and Friday.

“I asked and she said she doesn’t want to commit to anything for thurs or fri until she knows how she will feel. Also, she says that she may want to go to ny and doesn’t want to be committed to stuff in ny [sic],” Abedin wrote via her State account, following up that she meant “stuff in dc.”

Band responded to the first message, “Cool.”

Two days later, on June 25, 2009, Abedin wrote Band: “Offering bahrain cp 10 tomorrow for mtg [with ] hrc[.] If u see him, let him know.”

“We have reached out thru official channels,” Abedin added in the same message.

Band responded: “Nice[.] Abdullah is his guy[.] He’s great[.]”

Crown Prince Salman had committed $32 million to scholarships through the Clinton Global initiative.

Benghazi Report

benghazi report

Trey Gowdy released the  800 page Benghazi Report on Tuesday. Hillary called it old news from the vast right wing conspiracy and said it’s time to move on.

Here’s some of the “old news” from Politico.

• The State Department Failed to protect diplomats

• The CIA was confused about who our allies were. Americans were ultimately rescued by forces loyal to Gaddafi – the Libyan ruler about whom Hillary previously said “we came, we saw, he died.” Cackle cackle.

• Marines ready for take-off were ordered to change into civilian clothes so as not to offend Libyans.

• The Obama administration stonewalled the investigation.

Suicide Mission

The State Department sent a a security expert to Benghazi nine months before the attack. His report:

I told him that this was a suicide mission; that there was a very good chance that everybody here was going to die; that there was absolutely no ability here to prevent an attack whatever. . . . He said, “Everybody back here in D.C. knows that people are going to die in Benghazi and nobody is going to care until somebody does die.”

Hillary publicly lied that the attack was inspired by an internet video. A day later she told the Egyptian Prime Minister, “We know that the attacks in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack – not a protest.”

David French (the guy Bill Kristol wanted to run for president) sums up the report:

So here we are. The presumptive Democratic nominee for president is largely responsible for one of the great foreign-policy disasters of the last eight years and unquestionably responsible for helping mislead the public, yet in the media calculus of our time the Benghazi report is a “win,” because it merely confirms failures we already knew about. And everyone knows that old failures are no failures at all.

Ben Rhodes Benghazi Memo

The White House was forced to cough up another Benghazi memo this week because of a FOIA request by Judicial Watch.  The memo written by Ben Rhodes urged staffers to emphasize the line that the 9/11/2012 Benghazi attack was caused by an anti-Muslim movie and not a failure of policy. The attack killed a US ambassador and 3 others. At the time the president was bragging that he had decimated al Qaeda.  The White House feared news of a planned terror attack would tarnish the president’s  campaign theme.  Rhodes and others prepped Susan Rice for 5 Sunday talk shows with the message that a demonstration against the video got out of hand, causing the violence in the Benghazi compound.

This Catherine Herridge report shows General Robert Lovell testifying that there were no ant-video demonstrations preceding the Benghazi attack.

Benghazi Memo

Charles Krauthammer says the release of the Rhodes e-mail is up there with the discovery of the Nixon tapes.

Last night Bret Baier asked National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor if he changed Susan Rice’s talking points from terror “attack” to “demonstrations” protesting a video. Spokesman Vietor replied, “Dude, this was like two years ago.”

Benghazi: Bad Movie Review or Act of Terror?

140111-benghazi-movie-terrorDavid Kirkpatrick wrote a long piece in the NYT December 28 that said the attack on Benghazi was the act of a bunch of locals very pissed off about a movie. The Washington Post later reported that a former GITMO detainee who had trained under Osama bin Laden and fought with the Taliban played a role in the attack.

As they say, “what difference does it make?” Well, President Obama did say that al Qaeda was on the run and headed for defeat. After the attack Susan Rice went on five Sunday news shows to say it was caused by the internet video. And Hillary promised the father of murdered Navy Seal, Tyrone Woods, that they would prosecute the movie maker.

Was Benghazi a Bad Movie Review or Act of Terror?

The fact is the mystery of Benghazi can easily be solved by the man himself. In the second 2012 presidential debate Obama insisted that it is was an act of terror.

Here’s Andrew Wilson’s review in The American Spectator.
