The Buffet Rule is supposed to force all millionaires to pay a minimum 30% rate, but, according to IBD, the seven figure set could still shift their wealth to tax free municipal bonds.
Buffett Rule or not, the fattest fat cats still pay, by far, the most income taxes.
War on Women
Hilary Rosen has apologized for saying Ann Romney never worked a day in her life. She also insisted that no one says there’s a Republican “war on women”. Nancy Pelosi disagrees.
Ozzie Loves Fidel
Ozzie Guillen’s 5 star rating of an aging lefty has not gone over well with Miami’s Cuban community. Ozzie told Time magazine he “loves” Fidel Castro. He modified that to mean he admired Fidel’s ability to hang on to his job against all odds. His admiration could cost Ozzie his own job. So far it’s earned him a 5 game suspension.
Mandate
