Christine Blasey Ford Presents Award

The publisher of the popular Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue gave its Inspiration of the Year award to Rachael Denhollander. Rachel was the first to accuse Dr. Larry Nasser of sexually abusing her as a young gymnast under his care. And over 150 other other victims came forward to corroborate her story.

Here testimony put Dr. Nasser in prison for 175 years. And his employer, Michigan State University, paid $500 million in settlements to 332 victims. Vox has has an in depth story of what happened here.

Christine Blasey Ford made a video presentation of the award. She claims to be a victim too. She accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of molesting her at a high school party. But no one corroborated her story. Nor could she remember when or where the alleged assault happened or how she got there or got home.

Judge Kavanaugh was put on the U.S. Supreme Court.

LeBron departed Northeast Ohio and now he’s one of Hollywood’s hottest producers. He’s still a good basketball player too.

Meanwhile back in Cleveland rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield came off the bench to lead the Browns to victory over the Jets. Their first in 635 days. The chains came off the coolers and free beer flowed. The town went insane.

Former Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendricks isn’t your run of the mill pro athlete thug. But he fell in with the wrong crowd. Goldman Sachs.

NFL White Collar Crime

His friend Damilare Sonoiki, a Harvard educated investment analyst at Goldman until 2015, gave him trading tips in exchange for game tickets and cash. And next thing you know Mychal’s busted for insider trading.

He allegedly turned $80,000 into $1.2 million. Not Hillary Clinton scale growth, but not bad.

Still, the Browns cut him. No word yet if he’ll be called up to owner Jimmy Haslem’s Pilot Flying J franchise.

Urban Meyer Trick Play

Urban Myer Trick Play

Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith stands accused of roughing up his former wife. So Urban Meyer fired him. But that might not be enough. The school suspended Coach Meyer while it investigates whether he took action in a timely fashion.

Urban Meyer Trick Play

If he didn’t it could cost him his job and $38 million. It wouldn’t be the first time. His predecessor Jim Tressel was fired because some of his players traded trinkets for for tattoos. In a less enlightened time the Dutch got Manhattan for the same stunt.

Laker Lebron

laker LeBron

LeBron James has taken his talents to Hollywood. But fans aren’t burning his jersey this time around. After all, he’s the greatest athlete who ever lived.

He brought Cleveland its first major professional championship since Jim Brown did the same in 1964. (The previous greatest athlete who ever lived.)

Laker LeBron

LeBron accepted a four year offer from the Lakers for $153 million. And he turned down a five year deal from the Cavs for $205 million. He had his reasons.

When LeBron took his talents to South Beach there was bitterness. There were petty complaints. Some even said he was a cheap tipper. But he just now left $53 million on the table.
