Romney’s Common Touch
If the polls are right, Romney isn’t connecting with us common folk in Ohio. Michael Kinsley says he is the new Dukakis. Rush says the polls are wrong because they oversample Democrats.
Obama Bounce
After bouncing bin Laden, Obama gets a bounce of his own.
John Zogby, in Forbes, thinks Obama’s bounce to 46%, from a 41% approval rating 10 days earlier, “may mark a pivot point in the perceptions of independent voters”.
Or in the Evil One’s own words, “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse.”

Higher Office
Now that Mayor Daley has announced his retirement Rahm Emanual may be the first to abandon ship. Here’s a June 20 Telegraph story anticipating his desire to depart Obama’s “idealistic inner circle”. Or as Rahm would say, “f-ing retards“.
Campaign Slogan Tryouts
Robert Gibbs said Republicans could win the House. Pelosi slammed Gibbs. Joe Biden claimed, “we’re going to win the House and the Senate”. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D., N.J.) felt compelled to announce “…an end to a growing rumor that the president doesn’t want the House, only the Senate, and feels he can get more done with a split Congress…” .
