No fuel saver will go unpunished. Some states want to tax hybrid cars because their success in reducing fuel consumption also reduces gasoline tax revenue.

Electric cars are inevitable; maybe not tomorrow, but some day. I wonder how they will tax them? If Obama has anything to do with it, they will tax half the people twice as much.
Is this any worse than converting corn to Ethanol? Now let’s tie our food production, road maintenance, and whatever else we can think of to gasoline because it’s easy to tax. Seems to be the exact opposite of energy independence?
Maybe the tax will offset the subsidy!
It is so Crazy when we are sitting on 250 year supply of Gas and oil. Something has to generate the Electricity. The current Admin. has put restrictions on coal.
