Watch What You Say
Health insurers are raising their prices in part due to new demands of ObamaCare. Kathleen Sebelius has threatened them by saying the administration will have zero tolerance for insurance companies that blame rate hikes on the new health order. She hinted that she would put them out of business. Previously the administration has asked citizens to report to a government web site when they hear something “fishy” on the internet. Michael Barone calls this Gangster Governmemt.
Has Tea Party Gone Overboard?
Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell upset Republican establishment fave Mike Castle in the Delaware U.S. Senate primary. The Tea Party says it’s about more than winning elections. Establishment GOP bigwig, Karl Rove, says that’s a good thing because they just blew their chance of taking the Senate in November. Here’s Karen Tumulty’s story in the Washington Post.
Here’s Rich Lowry calling the Tea Party as much a revolt against the GOP establishment, that blew it last time they had power, as it is against Dem policy.

Scrap Stimulus
Demand is up for used cars because people are poorer. Supply is down because last year’s Cash for Clunkers program turned used cars into scrap. The scrapped used car market was, according to George Will, “an important mechanism for redistributing wealth to low income persons”. In the Boston Globe, Jeff Jacoby sums up the program as, “a deplorable exercise in budgetary wastefulness, asset destruction, environmental irrelevance, and economic idiocy”.
Higher Office
Now that Mayor Daley has announced his retirement Rahm Emanual may be the first to abandon ship. Here’s a June 20 Telegraph story anticipating his desire to depart Obama’s “idealistic inner circle”. Or as Rahm would say, “f-ing retards“.
Dawg Pound
Obama threw a bone to the friendly crowd at the Milwaukee Laborfest on Monday. He yelped that his critics talk about him like a dog. Is he the Big Dog or Big Labor’s lap dog? Speaking of man’s best friend, Tony Blair, in his new book, says Bush has more integrity than nearly every other leader he has met.
