In the 2013 science fiction thriller “Gravity” George Clooney’s character Matt Kowalski lets go of a rope and drifts off into outer space so that Sandra Bullock’s character Ryan Stone can have a fighting chance to live. On Wednesday in a NYT op-ed Clooney cut Joe Biden’s tether in desperation to give the Dems a fighting chance.
