When Guns are Password Protected

150120-gunsI came across a piece in the Sunday NYT by Nicholas Kristof about child proofing firearms. He wonders why a PIN can’t be used to password protect your guns just like your cell phones. Makes sense. He calls them “smart guns”. Of course then you’d have to get a kid to tell you how to us it.

It turns out a smart gun has already been invented. By a 17 year old kid. His name is Kai Kloepfer.
